Food Molecular Allergy

IgE-mediated food allergies cause your immune system to react abnormally when exposed to one or more specific foods. Some of the common foods that people have an IgE-mediated reaction to are things like nuts, milk and eggs.

Immediate reactions are caused by an allergen-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody that floats around in the blood stream. It is recommended that IgE food allergy testing in Melbourne is only performed for infants greater than 18 months of age.
