Psychologist
Phil has over a decade of experience as a psychologist, as well as having previous experience as a lecturer, teacher, case worker and disability support worker. He supports adults with a range of issues including mood difficulties, stress, anxiety, OCD, trauma recovery and healing from past emotional wounds.
Phil works developmentally, meaning he considers how difficulties have developed over timeand the future pathway that will help a person get to where they want to be. He is affirming of neurodiversity, gender diversity, diverse sexualities, different abilities/disabilities, cultural differences and other forms of diversity.
The main therapeutic approaches that Phil draws on are Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In addition to therapeutic support, Phil also provides neurodiversity affirming autism assessments for adults.
Phil has endorsement in the field of educational and developmental psychology and is an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.
