Melanie Pontikis
Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Melanie is a compassionate counsellor and IFS psychotherapist dedicated to supporting teens and adults as they navigate anxiety, build self-worth, and create healthier relationships with themselves and others. With a background in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, she helps clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and equip them with the tools needed to navigate challenges with confidence.
Her experience spans schools, private practice, and community settings, where she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, people- pleasing, low self esteem, friendship/relationship struggles, trauma, and attachment wounds.
Melanie creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, and understand how our earliest relationships influence our emotions and behaviours, to move toward deeper self compassion and acceptance.
Melanie’s approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic techniques. She believes therapy is a collaborative and transformative process, helping clients move from self-doubt to self connection. Melanie’s therapy approach is rooted in creating a safe and supportive relationship as the foundation for meaningful change.
