Meg is an accredited dietitian who loves food and helping others with their health.
She sees clients for a range of reasons and diagnoses – including but limited to:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Low FODMAP diet
- Gut hypnotherapy
- Food chemical elimination diet
- Eating disorders
- Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)
- Coeliac disease
- Weight management
- Type 2 diabetes
Meg became a dietitian because she suffered from her own gut health problems for over 10 years, so she understands what it is like to struggle with gut issues. She has tried every therapeutic diet under the sun and realised that there was a lot of misinformation in the community and online about gut health. This is when she decided to become a dietitian – to understand food and its effects on the body so that she could help others going through similar experiences.
Meg loves being a dietitian because of the way that food and our relationship make up such a central part of our lives. We socialise over food, use it to celebrate occasions, and share family traditions by passing down recipes. She understands the stress that may come when our relationship with food is disturbed, and she loves to help people repair their relationship with food.
Meg takes the time to get to know her clients and find out what their unique relationship with food is and what their nutrition goals are. Meg believes dietetic care is a partnership created between herself and the client, working together to achieve a common goal.
When Meg isn’t in the clinic, she loves to write recipes in her spare time which you will find on her website under the heading ‘recipes.’
