Kellie Stirling

Somatic Coach and Trauma Therapist

Hi, I’m Kellie. I’m a certified Somatic Coach and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), and my work focuses on relationships, life transitions, and trauma healing.
a
I work primarily with adults navigating significant life transitions and relational challenges, including parenthood, menopause, divorce, grief, career change, and the often-unexpected questions and challenges that emerge in midlife. I support individuals wanting to gently renegotiate the effects of trauma (both complex and event based), helping them reconnect with their body’s natural capacity for safety, regulation, resilience, and aliveness.
a
My path to this work wasn’t linear. After more than twenty-five years in organisational development, executive leadership, and culture change, I became increasingly interested in how people grow and transform throughout adulthood and what happens when they become stuck in life; and how unresolved stress and traumatic experiences can live on in the nervous system, shaping our behaviour, relationships, and sense of self long after the original events have passed. This curiosity led me into the study of trauma, relationships, sexuality, and the profound role the body plays in healing and development.
 a
I hold a Master of Commerce (Organisational Change), am a certified VITA™ Sexuality, Love and Relationship Coach, am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and I am a Teaching Assistant on the Somatic Experiencing International professional training program. I have also undertaken training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Integral Somatic Psychology and continue to deepen my studies particularly around somatic regulation and resilience.
a
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing, growth, and transformation happen in relationship. Somatic Experiencing forms the foundation of my practice, alongside a deep respect for the wisdom of the nervous system and a systemic understanding of how our lives are shaped by family, culture, workplaces, communities, and the broader social systems we inhabit.
a
Whether I’m supporting a couple in conflict, a woman navigating menopause, or an individual healing complex trauma, I help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, expand their capacity to stay present with life’s challenges, and develop new ways of relating to themselves and others.
