Jessica Ekserdjian

Clinical Psychologist

MPsych(Clin), Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology, BAppSc(Psych)

Jess (pronouns: she/her) is aware of the courage it takes to seek psychological support and feels privileged to work with clients to foster a safe, warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Jess has a broad spectrum of experience as a psychologist, working with clients across the lifespan in public and private settings, and in inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings. She has clinical experience in the provision of psychological assessment and therapy in both individual and group-based formats, and practices utilising evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks as well as attachment-focused and compassion-focused therapies.

At the moment, Jess accepts referrals for adults (18+) presenting with any of the following difficulties: Mood disorders (depression and BPAD),  anxiety (general, social, panic, agoraphobia, OCD), alcohol and substance use problems, trauma (including PTSD and cPTSD), life stress, family violence, perfectionism, grief/bereavement, psychosis, autism spectrum disorder, personality disorders, behaviour change work and interpersonal/relationship issues.

Jess believes that the therapeutic relationship is of paramount importance to therapeutic outcomes, and therefore works collaboratively with her clients to check in around whether the therapy and intervention is a good fit.

Please note that Jess does not currently accept referrals for people for whom an eating disorder is their primary diagnosis, and she also doesn’t write court reports or complete ADHD assessments.

To make an appointment, please contact Jess at [email protected] or referrers can fax referrals to 03 9960 7559.
