Fiona Waddell

Fiona Waddell is a highly intuitive clinical psychologist with more than 20 years experience in private practice. She works with older adolescents, adults and couples. Fiona is skilled in the treatment of a broad range of presenting issues. She has special interests in the assessment and treatment of Trauma, ADHD, Grief and Loss and complex presentations of Depression and Anxiety disorders.

Fiona brings a calming energy and presence to the therapeutic space and, with warmth and understanding aims to support clients towards symptom relief. Fiona works with clients to assess and understand the complexities of their mental heath challenges and identify strengths, coping resources and strategies that may help them to move forward in their lives. Fiona aims to bring clarity to complexity and identify physiological blocks that may hamper recovery. She incorporates a range of somatic release strategies which aim to calm the nervous system and thus, maximise therapeutic progress.

Fiona has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, is registered with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and is trained in a range of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Acceptance the Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sensory Motor Psychotherapy (SMP) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
